Ithaca College’s Equestrian Team (ICET) was established in the late 1990s and was based out of If Only Farm Equestrian Center. In 2026, the property was purchased by Liza and Kendon Garmon and renamed to Aspen View Farm. Although the farm is under new ownership, the team is excited to continue their work and partnerships with the farm. Over the years, the team has provided students with opportunities to take riding lessons, compete in IHSA competitions, and develop their horsemanship skills both in and out of the saddle.

The head coach, Audra Ravo-Putnam, is an Ithaca College alumni who graduated in 2005. She is an exceptional role model for our riders and is known for her encouraging and supportive teaching style. Assistant coach Sara Rodbourne, a fellow Ithaca College alumni, enjoys working with our beginner riders. This season, the team is also welcoming back IC alumni Liza Garmon as an assistant coach. To learn more about our coaching staff, visit the “ICET Coaches” tab.

ICET welcomes riders of all experience levels and offers weekly or bi-weekly lessons at Aspen View Farm. Students who are interested in riding but do not wish to compete are also encouraged to join the team. Aspen View Farm offers a variety of lesson horses suited to beginners, as well as riders interested in developing their flatwork and jumping abilities.

Outside of the barn, the team hosts a variety of events and activities designed to bring members together and build a strong team dynamic. Each semester, we hold “Barn Days” at Aspen View Farm, where team members work together to maintain paddocks and help clean and care for the barn. We also enjoy team dinners, end-of-year parties, and other social events throughout the year.

To support the team’s growth and activity, ICET hosts fundraisers throughout the year. In the past, the team has tabled on campus throughout the school year selling candygrams, member-designed stickers, and corporate partnerships. These fundraisers help provide financial support for team activities, competitions, and other opportunities for our members.
